About Me

Exceeding Expectations One Client at a Time

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) in the State of Maine. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic and counseling approaches, techniques, and mental health assessments. I am a National Board Certified Counselor (NBCC), a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the Association for Adult Development and Aging (AADA), which are professional associations dedicated to promoting ethical standards in mental healthcare. I received my Certification in Mediation in 1995. I received my Certification in Gerontology in 2019.

I have come to counseling later in life. After raising a family, while married for nearly 30 years, I had the opportunity to return to school and pursue a lifelong dream of obtaining my license in counseling. My professional and personal experiences, both successes and adversities, have informed my therapeutic work and capabilities. I’ve known the joys as well as challenges of marriage and divorce, caring for and supporting family members through their last stages of life, losing a sibling, nearly losing a child, health challenges, the trials of college at different stages of life, managing and succeeding through multiple career changes among other life stressors.

Volunteering and giving back to my community has also been an integral and important part of my life, I have volunteered with a variety of organizations, including Maine Council of Women, Girls Scouts of America, church youth groups, Ingraham Volunteers, Animal Refuge League and the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital among others.

I am excited to start my newest career transformation working in private practice with a group of like-minded practitioners that support individuals in connecting to their highest and truest self. I look forward to working with you to tackle lifes challenges and bear witness to your own transformations as you allow yourself to blossom, grow and THRIVE.
